Early Life
Aslay was born on 6th May 1995 in Tanzania. His late mother was Moza Mohammed who died in 2015 due to hypertension. Information about his dad is not known. His mother’s death greatly affected him since they shared a strong bond.

Musical Career
He ventured into music in 2011. His first Debut was ‘Naenda Kusema’ under Big Fella Music Records.
He then released’ Niwe Nawe‘ featuring Temba among other tracks before the creation of Yamoto Band.
In 2013, he joined a band ‘Yamoto Band‘ with other artists being Mbosso, Beka Flavor, and Enock Bella. The band lasted for five years and was disbanded in 2017. The members now are solo artists.
While in the band, they released songs such as ‘Nitajuta, Cheza kwa Madoido, and Mama‘, among others.
He manages his own music but before then his manager was Chambuso.
On November 2022 he joined the Sony East Africa and Sony Africa family.

Aslay dated Tessy Chocolate back in 2016. Their love was so strong that Tess had tattooed his name on her hand. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter named after her late mother but unfortunately, the two separated back in 2018. However, they co-parent for the sake of their daughter.
